**Description** The Director of Construction is accountable for the overall accountability, planning, budgeting, organization, direction, health & safety and execution of all NexGen construction activities to the highest safety and quality levels and delivery in accordance with objectives, timelines, and budgets. The scope of Construction includes all surface and underground facilities, including site development, temporary work, mining, processing and associated infrastructure. The Director of Construction leads the development of constructability, construction strategy, construction execution planning, and overseeing the organization, scheduling and execution. This position will be based in the Saskatoon office, with travel to the project site as required when construction activities are being conducted. **Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):**

*   Managing an Integrated Project Team of construction managers and construction personnel personnel.
*   Provide leadership to ensure an elite standard across all aspects of constructability and construction execution planning and implementation during detailed engineering, procurement, construction, and pre-commissioning phases of the Project.
*   Ensuring ownership and integration of Health & Safety and Quality Assurance into all aspects of construction.
*   Development of construction strategy and plans, schedules, and developing cost estimates and risk assessments for the Project, including definition of Construction Work Packages to guide engineering activities.
*   Preparing and coordinating the required construction-related reporting and key performance indicators.
*   In-depth review and approval of engineering and construction deliverables.

**Education and Experience**

*   Engineering degree or equivalent combination of formal education, training and experience.
*   Minimum of 20 years of leadership and construction management experience in the design/constructability, development, and management of construction sites in the mining industry.
*   Demonstrated health and safety management focus in the construction phase of project delivery, and extensive knowledge of health and safety management procedures, safe work practices, and applicable legislation.
*   Demonstrated leadership capabilities in strategic planning, resource allocation, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
*   Efficient and skilled in planning, organization, leadership, management, and administrative processes.
*   Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships and communicate directly with the Project Leadership on key issues in a timely, efficient, and trustworthy manner.
*   Complete knowledge of complex projects with engineering, procurement, construction, jobsite management, and other project related activities, their interfaces, and interdependencies.
*   Experience in both surface and underground construction, including process facilities, surface infrastructure, underground infrastructure, shaft sinking, ground protection and lateral development.
*   Demonstrated experience in design and development of large, remote, EPCM-led projects in the resource sector.

The Group Home (GH) Coordinator is responsible for the overall running of the home and ensuring that the residents have a high quality of life. This can be maintained through effective program plans and a friendly and reliable staff. The GH Coordinator is responsible for administering all medication treatments/interventions as trained by professionals as well as to ensure all staff have been trained appropriately.

 **KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**

1.  **General Duties** 

*   Ensure the group home is operated efficiently and effectively.
*   Keep Operations Manager apprised of major issues in the group home.
*   Provide medical support such as medication administration, tube feeding, and other therapies as prescribed by professionals.
*   Provide physical support such a physiotherapy, respiratory therapy, and bowel care routines.
*   Provide personal support such as attending appointments, following recommendations and meeting needs of the residents.
*   Provide monthly and annual statistical and narrative reports as required.
*   Responsible for weekend on call responsibilities.
*   Abide by Policies and Procedure of LutherCare Communities.

     **2. Program Management** 

*   Participate in admission/discharge meetings.
*   Coordinate with families, staff, and other agencies in preparation for program planning
*   Ensure each resident has an accurate, up to date resident care plan implemented
*   Ensure that staff implements the resident care plan according to the details of the plan.
*   Monitor the resident care plans and associated records, documents, and make changes to the care plan as deemed necessary.
*   Ensure that program standards noted in the CLSD service agreements are meets.

    **3. Financial Management** 

*   In conjunction with the Operation Manager, develop and manage the group home budget.
*   Monitor budgeted expenditures to monthly financial reports and provide necessary information to the General Manager where variances occur.

    **4. Human Resource Management** 

*   Ensures all staff are adequately trained and up to date with all requirements.
*   Screen profiles, Interview, reference checks and offer candidates.
*   Schedule staff and ensure that adequate staff coverage is available in the group home.
*   Make changes to payroll data as necessary and ensure staff are paid correctly and in a timely manner.
*   Stay up to date with the Saskatchewan Employment Act and legislative changes.

   **5. Physical Plant Management** 

*   Ensure general maintenance of the home is met and make the necessary arrangements for repairs.
*   Ensure that the standards set in place by public health and fire inspectors are met.
*   Ensure that all equipment is in good working order and make the necessary arrangements for repairs. 

**QUALIFICATIONSEducation:** 

*   Grade 12
*   Disability Support Worker Certificate, Continuing Care Assistant or equivalent training in a related field is required.
*   CLSD Level 3 in writing behavior support plans preferred.
*   Valid driver’s license
*   Sign language is desirable.

**Experience:**

*   Three to five years of management experience working with cognitively and/or physically challenged adults in a residential or vocational setting.
*   Experience in the design of developmental programming and behavioral interventions.
*   Experience working with residents with high medical needs.

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:**

*   Fluently able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
*   Excellent administrative, organizational, and interpersonal skills
