About LinkedUp
LinkedUp helps people find nearby activities and join instantly—no group chats, no chasing flaky friends. We’re building a map-first experience where reliability and real-world follow-through are part of the product.
Why this role
This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants diversified, real startup experience across:
- visual branding systems
- Web2 social content + paid-ad creatives
- Web3-adjacent design + marketing (narratives, visuals, campaign-style assets)
You’ll help us keep everything cohesive and scalable while we push toward launch.
What you’ll produce (deliverable-based)
- A light brand refresh pass (refine what exists, no need to restart)
- Ideallt from it, produce a reusable Canva template kit (layouts, type hierarchy, spacing rules, repeatable components)
- ~20 total assets, split across:
- Organic social (announcements, feature moments, community, etc.)
- Paid-style creatives (for ads / performance framing, even if used organically)
Responsibilities
- Translate our brand ethos into a consistent visual system (clean, modern, energetic, trustworthy)
- Create a “content engine”: templates and reusable elements that make posts fast to produce and consistently on-brand
- Help establish simple brand rules (do/don’t, spacing, typography usage, icon usage) so the team can maintain cohesion
AI-first expectations (important)
Ideally, you’re comfortable using AI tools to speed up (for your sake):
(We're also heavily into AI so if you're inetrested in exploring we're happy to share our current tooling and other tools on the market we'll gladly help you explore)
- concept exploration and variations
- layout ideation and batching formats/sizes quickly
- …and then polishing the final work to a high standard.
No sloppy AI outputs — we're looking for quality and taste.
Tools
- Canva preferred (we can provide Canva Pro if you need it)
- Figma is a plus (not required)
- Any AI tools you like, as long as final outputs match brand quality
UI involvement (consulting only)
You won’t be designing app UI.(Unless you'd want to create mockups) We may ask for visual feedback / consultation on 1–2 app screens to keep the look aligned with the brand system. And happy to go over this more with you, if it's an area you're looking to work on.
Collaboration
- Async-friendly
- Deliverable-based (not hourly)
- We’ll provide brand references, direction, and fast feedback loops
- Basically, if you think you can manage the deliverables by april 15th please apply
Compensation
This is unpaid(we are still at a startup stage pre launch therefor pre revenue). In exchange, this is a strong portfolio + experience opportunity where you can credibly say you worked on:
- Web3-adjacent design + marketing (narratives, creative systems, campaign-style assets)
- alongside Web2 social content + paid-ad creatives (organic + performance-style formats)
We’ll also support you with portfolio-ready deliverables, references, and public credit if you want. If our situation changes, we’ll revisit paid options.
To apply
Send:
- 2–5 examples of design work (or a portfolio)
- a short note on your workflow (especially how you use Canva and/or AI)
- bonus 1.0 : mention if you’re into sports/ or our project speaks to you
- bonus 2.0 : based in Montreal (we’d love to meet for coffee and collaborate in-person if you're down)
