Position Description About The Role The Global Business Service Unit (GBSU) Canada delivers day-to-day services to business units, driving operational excellence and accelerating transformation. We are seeking a Senior Production Support & Application Analyst to provide technical and functional support for critical applications used by trading and risk teams. This is a central, dynamic role requiring strong communication skills, interpersonal skills, and knowledge of ITIL best practices. You will be responsible for maintaining critical applications and ensuring seamless production operations. Your future duties and responsibilities Key Responsibilities Serve as a key member of an IT feature team (Development and Support) closely aligned with a trading desk. Perform daily production health checks at the start and end of the day to ensure stability before market openings in North America and Asia. Monitor, prioritize, and resolve user tickets via Unity and respond to live production incidents. Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot, prevent, and resolve production issues. Drive automation initiatives using Elasticsearch, Kibana, scripting, bots, Autosys, and other tools. Develop financial and technical expertise to improve support quality and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Technical Environment Operating Systems & Tools: UNIX, Autosys Programming & Scripting: SQL, Python, Java Data & Monitoring: Kibana, Elasticsearch Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role Candidate Profile We believe strong technical understanding enhances support quality. Successful candidates will: Demonstrate basic coding proficiency and be able to write SQL queries. Successfully complete a technical assessment in a familiar technology. Preferred Qualifications: Minimum 5 Years Of Experience In Application Support Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience Proven track record of delivering automation and continuous improvement initiatives Language Requirements Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required for regular collaboration with US colleagues. This estimate is based on several factors, including skill level, geographic market, experience, education, and relevant professional licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions are made based on the specifics of each individual case. The estimated salary range for this role is between $60,000 and $115,000. This position is currently vacant.
