Corporate Accountant

Our client is seeking a motivated CPA to join their team in a role focused on capital accounting and fixed assets. This position offers the opportunity to own key areas of reporting and analysis while contributing to timely and accurate financial close processes.

What You’ll Do

• Manage capital accounting and reporting activities to support accurate and efficient monthly, quarterly, and annual period-end close.
• Reconcile and analyze the General Ledger, Asset sub-ledger, and Regulatory sub-ledger related to capital and properties.
• Prepare and maintain continuity schedules, cash flow requirements, and supporting reconciliations for capital assets.
• Support budgeting and forecasting of capital expenditures, depreciation, and asset-related costs.
• Draft and review financial statement notes and disclosures related to capital assets.
• Assist with asset inventory tracking and ARO (Asset Retirement Obligation) analysis.
• Provide variance analysis and insights to management on capital-related activities.
• Contribute to process improvements and financial systems enhancements related to asset and capital reporting.

What You Bring

• CPA designation
• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of IFRS and asset-related reporting requirements.
• Experience reconciling sub-ledgers and analyzing large data sets.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
