As Sales Manager, you’ll play a key role in driving revenue growth and market share across our Lower Mainland branches — leading a high-performing sales team and partnering closely with branch and operations leaders to deliver exceptional customer service. This is a hands-on leadership role for a sales professional who understands the equipment rental industry, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and knows how to coach, motivate, and hold a team accountable while keeping customers at the center of every decision. What You’ll Be Doing Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and inspire the sales team to achieve individual and team performance goals
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, high-performance sales culture
- Develop and execute sales strategies that drive revenue growth, profitability, and market share across the Lower Mainland
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, serving as a trusted advisor and escalation point, resolving escalated issues with urgency and professionalism
- Manage the sales pipeline, expand high-potential accounts, and refine pricing and promotional strategies
- Partner closely with Branch Managers / operations teams to ensure seamless execution and customer service
- Conduct regular sales meetings, performance reviews, and pipeline discussions; track KPIs and report results to senior leadership
- Support collection efforts in partnership with the Credit & Collections team
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify profitable equipment sales and fleet utilization opportunities
- Set annual goals and objectives aligned with branch and regional performance; monitor progress and adjust strategies as needed
- Represent Cooper at industry events and support brand visibility through networking and local marketing initiatives

What You’ll Bring to the Team Qualifications and Requirements:
- 8+ years of outside sales experience, ideally within equipment rental, construction, industrial, or related industries
- 2+ years of sales leadership experience, with a proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop high-performing teams
- Strong knowledge of construction equipment and rental operations, including fleet utilization and profitability drivers
- A valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driver’s abstract (no more than 3 demerit points)
- Willingness to travel throughout the Lower Mainland; this role is primarily field-based
- Proficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and with PowerBI or similar data visualization tools
- A leadership style rooted in honesty, integrity, and trust — doing the right thing, even when no one’s watching
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to move key customers toward value-based partnerships
- Comfortable leading customer presentations and meetings, articulating value, aligning solutions to customer needs, and influencing decision-makers
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels — internally and externally
- Strong business acumen, including experience managing budgets, AR and collections, reviewing P&Ls, and planning for growth
- The flexibility to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
