Safety & Training Coordinator

Position Title: Safety and Training Coordinator Location: St. Boniface, MBAbout AGI AGI is a global food-based infrastructure company publicly traded in Canada. The Opportunity The Safety Coordinator works closely with the supervisors, Health and Safety Committee and floor employees. This position works to continually improve our safety awareness and performance. Responsibilities

• Complete and track all monthly inspections
• Complete monthly KPI’s and reporting
• Organize all safety training
• Coordinate emergency response drills
• Make safety recommendations as situations arise
• Chair health and safety meetings
• Assist in aligning safety policies/practices
• Update/create hazard assessments
• Complete safety investigations including finding root causes
• Follow up with safety action items
• Complete safety orientations
• Coordinate third party service (hygiene assessments, safety consultations)

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Post-secondary education in Safety is an asset
• Minimum 3 years health and safety experience
• Thorough working knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation
