Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Counsellor at Wagner Hills Farm Society, located in the Greater Vancouver Metropolitan Area. The Counsellor will provide individual and group counselling to support men in recovery, facilitate workshops, and implement personalized treatment plans. The role also involves monitoring progress, maintaining client records, and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure effective care. Additionally, the Counsellor will foster a supportive and empathetic environment while encouraging personal growth and accountability.

Qualifications

• Experience in counselling, therapy, or providing emotional support in recovery contexts
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills
• Ability to conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor client progress
• Knowledge of mental health, addiction recovery, and support practices
• Proficiency in maintaining accurate and confidential client records
• Familiarity with group facilitation and workshop leadership
• Empathy, cultural competency, and the ability to build trust with clients
• Relevant education or certification in Counselling, Social Work, Psychology, or related fields
• Experience in a recovery-focused or therapeutic setting is an asset
