RoboDK is looking for an Application Specialist to join our team, develop new features and help customers successfully implement robotic simulation, offline programming, and automation solutions.

This role combines technical support, software development, customer training, sales assistance, and collaboration with our R&D team. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys combining robotics, software development, product innovation, and customer interaction.

*This position is based at our Montreal office (Canada), and candidates must live within commuting distance.Responsibilities

  • Design and develop user interfaces and customized solutions using C#, Python, or C++
  • Provide technical support for RoboDK products through email, forums, phone calls, and online meetings
  • Analyze customer applications and recommend suitable technical solutions
  • Conduct product demonstrations, technical meetings, and training sessions
  • Develop, maintain, and integrate solutions using the RoboDK API
  • Support the development of new and innovative products and features through R&D activities
  • Troubleshoot robot programs, post-processors, drivers, and communication setups
  • Assist the sales and marketing teams with technical questions, application reviews, and content creation
  • Gather customer feedback and collaborate with the product and development teams

Required skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, Robotics, Automation, or any equivalent field
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Mastercam, Rhinoceros, CATIA, or PTC products
  • Experience working with robot arms from manufacturers such as ABB, FANUC, KUKA, Yaskawa Motoman, Stäubli, Universal Robots, or similar
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills
  • Interest in learning new technologies and a results-oriented mindset

Additional assets

  • Programming experience with Python, C#, or C++
  • Experience with metrology or robot-calibration equipment
  • Knowledge of French, German, Chinese, Spanish, or other languages
  • Experience with PLCs, industrial communication protocols, post-processors, or robot drivers
