Our client is a leading not‑for‑profit organization driving recycling innovation across British Columbia and is currently looking to grow.
Are you energized by logistics, operations, and building strong partnerships across the recycling and supply‑chain ecosystem? This is a great opportunity to contribute to one of BC’s most impactful environmental stewardship programs.
They are looking for a Commodity Marketing Specialist to support the movement of recyclable materials from facilities to approved end markets—ensuring efficient, transparent, and reliable material flow across the province.
Main duties:
- Coordinate daily allocation and transportation of recyclable commodities from RFs/MRFs to end‑market partners
- Build strong relationships with end markets and brokers
- Monitor contamination trends and material quality
- Troubleshoot logistics issues with internal teams and external partners
- Maintain accurate chain‑of‑custody and operational reporting
- Track domestic and international market trends
- Support process improvements, data dashboards, and post‑collection projects (including GHG initiatives)
Key skills:
- Post‑secondary education in environmental studies, engineering, logistics, business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years’ experience in logistics, operations, supply chain, or environmental programs
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities
- Experience with CRM/TMS systems is an asset
- Comfortable working with technical issues, inspections, or client‑facing operational challenges
