**We are proactively sourcing for the below role. Our client will be reviewing profiles early next week**
Our client is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support the development of operating budgets and a post-construction operating plan for new projects funded by a provincial Ministry of Health. This role is crucial for ensuring effective financial planning and compliance for large-scale healthcare initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational & Financial Planning: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to prepare financial models and operating budgets for new construction projects.
- Reporting & Analysis: Manage monthly reporting of transition costs against budgets, conduct funding and costing analysis for major projects, and provide recommendations for achieving optimal financial positions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with various departments, including Case Costing and Decision Support, to gather essential inputs for submissions. You will also serve as a financial business partner to clinical co-sponsors.
- Strategic Support: Support and advise on business cases to achieve optimal outcomes for organizational spending. This includes performing impact analysis of clinical initiatives and providing education and training to staff.
Qualifications
- Certification: A CPA designation is required.
- Experience: You should have 5-8 years of related experience, with previous financial experience in the healthcare sector being a definite asset. Experience in managing financial reporting and capital projects of a complex, multi-million dollar nature is essential.
- Technical & Analytical Skills: Excellent technical skills in Excel and financial systems are a must.
- Communication: You must be able to explain complex issues in plain language, both verbally and in writing.
- Soft Skills: The ideal candidate will be well-organized, exhibit sound judgment and tact, and have a proven ability to manage multiple tasks with strict deadlines in a complex environment.
