ONxpress Transportation Partners has been selected by Infrastructure Ontario and Metrolinx to lead the charge in modernizing rail service across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Areas with the On-Corridor Works project. What You’ll Do Here:

• Provide support in developing, establishing, and maintaining project cost/control systems.
• Assist in monitoring project performance and ensure that the project control system is properly implemented.
• Generate required project status reports for internal management and for the customer, including the overall project dashboard, project performance report (Earned Value, SPI, CPI, etc.).
• Assist in ensuring contract conditions (invoicing, reporting, change management, etc.) are applied and fulfilled for project set-up, project tracking and reporting.
• Provide project analysis, data, and cost reports to management, including support for month-end reconciliations.
• Review monthly billing and forecasts from subcontracted design teams and subconsultants for accuracy, appropriateness and technical approval.
• Responsible for implementing project controls aspects of the project including scheduling, cost control, change management, risk management.
• Assist in creating and maintaining customized reports or dashboards to adapt to evolving risks and project needs
• Supports Design Managers and other team members on all aspects of project controls through various stages of the project.
• Liaise with external design teams and subconsultants as need to discuss project controls and monthly financials.
• Manages administrative documentation, maintains files and correspondence on active and completed projects, and submits invoices.
• Participate in meetings and information sessions with business management and senior project management as required.

What You Bring to the Team:

• College and/or University degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience
• 2-3 years of related project controls construction experience. Experience within the Rail and Transit industry is considered an asset.
• Advanced proficiency in reading and understanding financial documents (invoicing, EV tables, etc.)
• Strong background in project measurement and earned value principles is an asset.
• Highly advanced in Microsoft Excel, Primavera P6 and Power BI.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong ability to work accurately under pressure and adapt to deadline pressures.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and employees.

This position is with ONxpress Civils (“CJV” aka the Design & Construction team); the project segment responsible for the modernization and modification of the key area network, including countless innovations in the way the regional rail infrastructure is built.
