Job Description
Posted on: December 22, 2025
Full job descriptionCompany Overview
Red Wireless is one of Canadas largest Rogers Authorized Dealer, with a strong online sales engine and a team of 400+ employees across call centres, retail locations, remote workforces, and international operations—all focused on delivering exceptional customer experiences from Saskatoon to all over Canada.
Summary
You’ll be part of a core 3–5 person management leadership team responsible for helping drive the business forward at Red Wireless.
This is not just an accounting role. The accounting is the easy part. The real value comes from tying the numbers together, understanding how every part of the business operates, and using that insight to help leaders make better, faster decisions.
We’re a small, agile, fast-moving company with no suit-and-tie culture. We constantly challenge how we operate to become leaner, more efficient, and more scalable. We need a hands-on Senior Controller who is willing and able to do any accounting task, but who also thinks like an owner.
You’ll need a deep understanding of the entire business—sales, commissions, payroll, inventory, operations, and growth initiatives—to be helpful across all departments, not just finance. This role has real influence, autonomy, and accountability.
You’ll oversee financial operations, ensure accurate and timely reporting, and provide strategic insight as Red Wireless continues to grow and lead in the telecommunications industry.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with regulatory standards.

- Implement and optimize accounting software systems - QuickBooks online
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
- Collaborate with other departments to support business growth initiatives.
- Lead and mentor the finance team to foster professional development.
- Understand the wireless business, from customers visiting our website to creating and order getting it into the point of sale and finally getting it into Quickbooks that land on financial statements.
Qualifications
- CPA designation is mandatory.
- Proven experience as a Controller or senior finance leader within Saskatchewan, because people in Saskatchewan know how to work hard.
- Strong proficiency with accounting software.
- Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial strategies.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing tiny finance teams
We want to hire the correct candidate, we are not rushing. If you are in a rush - this might not be the right fit.
