Position SummaryTeam Attendant, Computed Tomography: Your goal in this position is to contribute to the organization and optimal function of the Computed Tomography Department working with physicians, technologists, registered nurses and unit secretaries to provide support to patients and patient care staff. You will be responsible for contributing to patient flow and enhancing patient family centered care in the Computed Tomography department. You will also rotate through other areas of the department, such as the CT, Angio/Interventional department, and Breast Diagnostic Centre. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work within a team and fast paced environment. You are able to establish and maintain patience, compassion and a courteous manner in relationships with patients, families, and co-workers. This position supports the hospital’s academic mandate by advancing care through teaching and learning and/or transforming care through research and innovation. This position contributes to the shared responsibility of ensuring health and safety policies are followed to provide for a healthy environment for patients, staff, physicians, volunteers and families. On a practical level, you will

  • Practice safe transfer of patients and supplies
  • Observe and adhere to all policies and procedures, work standards and safety regulations

Qualifications

  • High School diploma
  • Completed Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate from a College of Applied Arts and Technology
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
  • Medical experience in Medical Imaging an asset
  • Bilingualism in French/English is an asset
