Description: As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS. Transition Company: Recovery Alberta Classification: Licensed Practical Nurse Union: AUPE AUX Unit and Program: Corrections Health Primary Location: Edmonton Remand Centre Location Details: As Per Location Multi-Site: Not Applicable FTE: 0.52 Posting End Date: 05-AUG-2025 Employee Class: Regular Part Time Date Available: 15-AUG-2025 Hours per Shift: 7.75 Length of Shift in weeks: 10 Shifts per cycle: 26 Shift Pattern: Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends Days Off: As Per Rotation Minimum Salary: $27.58 Maximum Salary: $36.13 Vehicle Requirement: Not Applicable Required Qualifications: Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Additional Required Qualifications: Minimum 2 years experience working within a correctional environment, an acute care facility or a psychiatric program. Must have excellent assessment, critical thinking, organization, and patient care skills. Must be self-directed and have the ability to work independently and use sound professional judgment. Must be able to communicate findings concisely and accurately. Physical demands include prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing, walking, lifting, pushing, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, and/or transferring patients. Preferred Qualifications: As required.
