Full Description

We are seeking a full time passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their development through engaging educational activities. You will work closely with children, parents, and staff to ensure that each child's individual needs are met while promoting a positive learning atmosphere.

Duties

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards and foster children's cognitive, social, and emotional growth.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and provide updates on children's progress.
  • Educate children through play-based learning, hands-on activities, and structured lessons that promote curiosity and exploration.
  • Utilize computer operation skills to maintain records, track student progress, and communicate with parents through digital platforms.
  • Manage time efficiently to balance teaching responsibilities, classroom management, and administrative tasks.
  • Organize classroom materials and resources to create an inviting learning environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
  • Adapt teaching methods to accommodate children with special education needs or working persons with disabilities to ensure inclusive education for all students.

Qualifications

  • Qualified as an ECE 2 or 3 in Manitoba is required.
  • Strong ability to manage a room.
  • Experience in childcare or early childhood education settings is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Familiarity with inclusion practices is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
  • A genuine love for working with young children and a commitment to their development.
