Drive Financial Performance Across a National Real Estate & Hospitality PlatformYour New Employer
Our client is a well-established investment company headquartered in Halifax, Nova Scotia, with a diversified real estate platform and a national hospitality portfolio.
Through its hospitality division, the organization owns and operates hotels across Canada and has built a reputation for identifying opportunities, enhancing operational performance, and creating long-term value through disciplined investment and active asset management.
Operating within a lean, collaborative environment, the company values curiosity, accountability, and partnership. Finance plays a strategic role within the business, working closely with operations and executive leadership to provide meaningful insights that support decision-making, improve portfolio performance, and evaluate future growth opportunities.
With a strong balance sheet, an experienced leadership team, and a continued focus on operational excellence, this is an outstanding opportunity for a finance professional seeking broad exposure, direct access to senior leadership, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a dynamic and growing organization.
Your New Role
As the Financial Analyst, you will play an integral role in supporting financial reporting, operational performance, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making across a national portfolio of hospitality assets.
Working closely with senior finance leaders, operations, and executive management, you will prepare and analyze financial and operational reporting, evaluate business performance, and provide insights that support both day-to-day operations and long-term strategic initiatives.
You'll lead annual budgeting activities, prepare monthly performance reporting, analyze key operating metrics, and identify trends and opportunities that help improve portfolio performance. You'll also contribute to investment evaluations, financial modelling, acquisition analysis, and special projects while helping enhance reporting tools and business intelligence capabilities.
This is a highly visible role suited to someone who enjoys combining analytical thinking with business partnership in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
What Sets You Apart
You are an analytical and naturally curious finance professional who enjoys solving business problems through data and financial insight. You have completed, or are actively pursuing, your CPA or CFA designation, and bring approximately three to seven years of progressive experience in financial analysis, FP&A, accounting, hospitality, real estate, or another asset-intensive industry.
You have experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and financial modelling, and you're highly proficient in Excel. Exposure to ERP and reporting systems such as Sage Intacct, SAP, Yardi, Power BI, Nectari, or similar platforms would be considered an asset.
Most importantly, you're collaborative, proactive, and comfortable building relationships across multiple business functions while communicating financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
What You Can Expect
This opportunity offers far more than traditional financial reporting. You'll join a collaborative organization where finance is viewed as a strategic business partner and where your analysis will directly influence operational performance, investment decisions, and long-term business growth.
Working closely with senior leadership, Operations, and Finance, you'll gain broad exposure to budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, portfolio performance, and strategic initiatives across a national hospitality platform. You'll have the opportunity to strengthen your analytical capabilities, deepen your understanding of business operations, and contribute meaningful insights that support the organization's continued growth and success.
The organization offers a competitive total rewards package, including performance-based incentives, comprehensive health and wellness benefits, professional development support, and opportunities for continued career growth. Beyond compensation, you'll join a collaborative and entrepreneurial organization where initiative is valued, leadership is accessible, and employees are encouraged to make a meaningful impact as the business continues to grow.
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
