About the Role
As Project Manager, you will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple large-scale projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Reporting to the Project Director, you will coordinate project teams, manage stakeholder expectations, and act as a trusted advisor to clients, contractors, and consultants. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while driving process improvement and operational efficiency.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Initiation and Planning
- Review scope of work, specifications, and tender documents to identify discrepancies.
- Examine project contracts at startup and lead Project Launch meetings with action items, responsibilities, and due dates.
- Develop, monitor, and actively manage project schedules, ensuring adherence to contractual and internal commitments.
- Maintain risk tracking tools and ensure stakeholders complete assigned tasks on time.
- Prepare quality assurance plans as required.
Engineering and Documentation
- Coordinate receipt of all architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings, including IFC documentation.
- Issue Requests for Information (RFIs) to clarify discrepancies.
- Audit construction management software to monitor deficiencies and action items.
- Maintain meeting minutes, action logs, and project dashboards, reviewing work completed by Project Coordinators.
- Manage change documentation and change order processes.
Budget, Scope, and Schedule Control
- Oversee stakeholder performance to ensure adherence to budget, scope, and schedule.
- Escalate risks with corrective action plans when commitments cannot be met.
- Coordinate and champion mockups, sample reviews, and milestone meetings (Scope, Material Take Off, Project Launch, Kickoff, Special Design/Product Reviews, and Closeout meetings).
Field Coordination and Execution
- Coordinate site measurements where required.
- Review engineer and third-party consultant field reports and enter action items into project management systems.
- Supervise Project Coordinators and Field Managers.
- Represent the organization professionally with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and agencies.
Project Closeout
- Create and implement comprehensive closeout action plans.
- Ensure all deficiencies are resolved and required documentation is submitted.
- Lead Lessons Learned documentation and post-project review meetings.
General
- Attend consultant, coordination, and site meetings as required.
- Execute additional duties to meet project deadlines as assigned by the Project Director.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Architectural Technology, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or working toward certification is an asset.
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in construction or related industries.
- Strong ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and multiple product lines/systems.
- Proven leadership in mentoring Project Coordinators and Junior Project Managers.
- Experience managing multiple large-scale, technically complex projects.
Working Conditions
- Combination of office and on-site work.
- Personal Protective Equipment required for site visits.
- Travel to sites, clients, or suppliers as required.
- Completion of Health and Safety training including Working at Heights and WHMIS.
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed.

- Develop tools and techniques to improve efficiency and execution.
- Make sound, informed decisions in complex environments while exercising discretion and judgment.
- Prepare professional correspondence, reports, and memos.
- Work collaboratively in a team-focused environment while maintaining accountability.
