Who Can Apply?: Internal (DCC Employees) and External (General Public)Salary Range$79,067 - $102,788Employment StatusContinuingTerm Length Security Level: SecretLanguage RequirementBilingual PreferredClosing Date21/02/2026CountryCanadaCAFM System Specialist The Technical Specialist, Computer-Aided Design (CAD)/Building Information Modelling (BIM), & Computer-Aided Facility Management (CAFM) provides CAD, BIM and/or Computer-Aided Facility Management support to internal and external clients. The incumbent acts as a CAFM system specialist, collaborating with peers and the Client-Partners to assess requirements, implement enhancements, and administer the Client-Partner’s CAFM system. Additional responsibilities include configuration and customization of the CAFM system’s user interface and reporting environment, implementation of new CAFM modules and features, performance of quality assurance and control activities, and production of technical CAD/BIM/CAFM deliverables and services (e.g. floor plans, database entry, space reporting and data analysis, end-user training), in collaboration with project/program teams and junior technical staff. KEY AND PERIODIC ACTIVITIESThe duties and responsibilities listed below are representative but not all-inclusive:Primary
- Produce CAD drawings and BIM models in response to Client-Partner requests
- Configure and administer the Client-Partner’s CAFM system, including existing modules (e.g. space management, workspace booking), system settings, user permissions, facility data population, reporting, troubleshooting and end-user technical support and training
- Provide technical advice regarding CAD, BIM, and CAFM integration (e.g. standards, software analysis, user input)
- Work with the Client-Partner to identify stakeholders, assess business and technical requirements, and implement new applications and enhanced system functionality (e.g. room reservations, lease management etc.).
- Coordinate CAFM system upgrades, patches, and vendor-supported releases
- Support CAFM system integration with CAD/BIM, GIS, and related Client-Partner enterprise systems
- Perform quality assurance and control activities
- Develop and implement CAD/BIM/CAFM standards, workflows and processes
- Create system documentation, standard operating procedures, training documents and develop strategies for further CAFM system improvements.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships within DCC, and with industry, the Client-Partners and/or stakeholders
- Ensure quality standards are met, in line with corporate and Client-Partner expectations
Other
- Support and/or lead business development activities
- Provide administrative and project support (e.g. filing, reporting, document creation)
- Manage risk

SkillsGeneral and Specific Knowledge
- Best practices, methods, trends and legislation in the CAD/BIM/CAFM industry
- CAD/BIM/CAFM software (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit, Archibus)
- Archibus Web Central configuration and customization
- Experience implementing Archibus features, schema changes, and system enhancements
- Experience with relational databases (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. JavaScript), and writing complex queries is essential
- Integration of CAFM with CAD/BIM, GIS, or other enterprise platforms (e.g. ERP)
- Client-Partner and industry CAD/BIM standards
- National building codes and standards
- Project and risk management principles
Formal Education And/or Certification(s) And Experience
- Minimum: college diploma in architecture, civil engineering, building construction or electrical/mechanical technology or a related field, with at least four years of relevant experience, or the equivalent
