We are seeking a skilled and proactive Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer to manage, monitor, and optimize our Microsoft Fabric environment. This role is critical in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our data platform infrastructure, supporting business intelligence, data engineering, and analytics initiatives across the organization.
In this role, you’ll be the go-to expert for our Microsoft Fabric ecosystem, ensuring reliability, scalability, and governance across the organization. You’ll work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to power insights that truly matter.
🔧 What You’ll Be Doing
🧠 Own the Fabric Environment
- Administer and optimize Microsoft Fabric components including OneLake, Data Factory, Power BI, and Synapse
- Configure workspaces, manage access, and keep security tight and compliant
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability
🤝 Collaborate & Enable
- Partner with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to support data pipelines and reporting
- Provide guidance, support, and training to both technical teams and end users
- Stay ahead of the curve with Microsoft Fabric updates and best practices
⚙️ Automate, Govern & Optimize
- Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell, REST APIs, Microsoft Graph, KQL, or Python
- Enforce data governance, retention, and compliance standards
- Design and support databases and Lakehouse solutions for analytics and applications
- Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability across data systems
🔐 Secure the Data
- Ensure data security and compliance with applicable regulations
- Support enterprise-grade governance and data quality initiatives
🧩 What You Bring
🎓 Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in system administration, ideally within Microsoft cloud environments
🛠️ Technical Skills
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Azure Data Factory, or Synapse Analytics
- Strong scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, KQL, Python)
- Solid understanding of databases, Lakehouse architecture, and performance tuning
- Bonus points for experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka
