Some of your responsibilities may include:
- Provide day-to-day technical support, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and basic deskside issues (e.g., docking stations, monitors, peripherals).
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding, including setting up workstations/cubicles, equipment, and system access.
- Support setup, configuration, maintenance, and simple repair/refurbishment of laptops, desktops, and mobile devices.
- Monitor system notifications (VPN, servers offline, etc.) and escalate issues as required.
- Assist with server room upkeep, including organization, cleaning, labeling, and cable management, as well as port tracing and maintaining network floor maps.
- Maintain IT equipment inventory, including asset tracking, assignment, and coordinating items for repair, refurbishment, disposal, or storage
- Support document processing, IT documentation updates, and data tracking/reporting.
- Assist the IT team and hiring manager with administrative and coordination tasks, including maintaining organized records and processes.
- Performing basic network account support
- Assisting with data/file archiving to manage storage capacity.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in post-secondary education in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong interest in IT systems, troubleshooting, and technical support.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and Windows environments.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- High level of attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
