Join Our Labour & Employment Law Team in Halifax Our Halifax office is excited to welcome an Associate Lawyer to our growing Labour & Employment practice group. In this role, you will work closely with employers on a broad range of workplace issues, practicing primarily management-side labour and employment law. You will support clients across a variety of industries in navigating complex workplace, human rights, and labour relations matters. What We Offer

Summary Of Responsibilities

  • Support labour relations matters, including grievance arbitrations
  • Advise on terminations, severance, and wrongful or constructive dismissal claims
  • Provide guidance on performance management, discipline, and employment standards compliance
  • Conduct and support workplace investigations, including harassment and discrimination complaints
  • Respond to human rights complaints and represent employers in related proceedings
  • Advise on occupational health and safety obligations and broader legislative compliance

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS You are a committed legal professional with 2+ years of Labour & Employment law experience and bring:

  • Strong analytical and legal writing abilities
  • Demonstrated excellent client service and communication skills;
  • Strong research and writing skills and demonstrated ability to navigate complex issues;
  • Proven effective client and practice management skills;
  • Self-motivated and can work independently but also values working collaboratively, and
  • A commitment to teamwork, mentorship, and continued professional development
