Position Overview
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounts Receivable/Payable Administrator to join our Finance Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accounts receivable and payable functions, ensuring accuracy in financial transactions, and maintaining positive relationships with both customers and vendors.
This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong attention to detail to support the overall efficiency of our finance operations. The position is full-time and offers a hybrid work arrangement in Ottawa, Ontario.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Entry
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Handle discrepancies in accounts payable/receivable
- Maintain customer and vendor relationships
- Compile, review, and code supplier invoices for approval
- Reconcile vendor accounts and respond to inquiries
- Inquire and coordinate with customers regarding payments
- Process and verify invoices
- Support the finance department as required
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are looking for candidates who possess a solid foundation in accounting principles and have a passion for numbers. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, or bookkeeping.
- Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks online accounting software.
- Strong skills in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles, including journalizing and posting.
- Exceptional attention to detail and superior organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of tax compliance in accounts payable.

Compensation and Benefits
