Job DescriptionAbout the Role We are seeking a Director, Special Projects to lead high-priority initiatives across the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) portfolio. This role will serve as a trusted extension of the CCO -translating strategy into executable plans, aligning stakeholders, and driving delivery. The position will have a particular short-term focus on building out the Major Projects Services and Strategic Projects pillars, while looking for opportunities to leverage and embed evolving technologies such as AI and predictive analytics. Key Responsibilities:
- Address identified priorities in the portfolio of CCO-managed functions, including triage of high-priority items as required.
- Act as an integrator between all functions in the CCO portfolio, supporting established functions for critical initiatives as required.
- Support the build out of Major Projects Services capabilities (resourcing, delivery ecosystem and best practices), and triage project setup, execution and audit items as needed.
- Stand up the framework for Strategic Projects (execution and reporting), and work closely with the Strategic Projects Coordinator and executive leaders for implementation.
- Embed best-in-class and future-ready technology into commercial and delivery workflows by continuously scanning leading practices and emerging capabilities, translating them into pragmatic standards, tools, and process improvements, and ensuring they are designed into today’s Major Projects Services and Strategic Projects buildout (not retrofitted later).
- Develop executive-ready materials including business cases, options analyses, recommendations, and status updates for leadership forums.
- Facilitate cross-functional working groups; manage risks, issues, dependencies, and stakeholder alignment to remove bottlenecks and accelerate decisions.
Qualifications
- 8+ years’ experience in commercial leadership, program delivery, consulting, infrastructure/project services, or a related environment.
- Demonstrated track record delivering complex, cross-functional initiatives with measurable business results.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to influence without authority.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with experience producing leadership-level materials and interfacing with executives.
- Strong analytical and business acumen.
