Licensing Requirement: IIROC Licensed (or Eligible for Registration)

Minimum AUM Requirement: $25M–$40M+ in Assets Under Management (AUM)

About Capital Markets Advisors (CMA)Capital Markets Advisors (CMA) is a boutique executive search and consulting firm specializing in talent acquisition and advisory solutions for the financial services industry. Our firm partners with investment dealers, asset managers, and advisory firms to strategically scale their businesses through the recruitment of experienced financial professionals, leadership teams, and high-performing advisory practices.

With deep sector knowledge and a reputation for discretion and precision, CMA has been exclusively engaged to identify a Producing Branch Manager for a respected and expanding independent investment dealer. This firm offers a competitive and flexible platform designed for entrepreneurial advisors who value independence, performance-based growth, and the opportunity to lead.

Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic, IIROC-licensed investment professional to step into the dual role of Producing Branch Manager—one that blends personal advisory success with branch-level leadership and strategic growth. The ideal candidate will have an existing client book of approximately $25M–$40M+ in AUM and a proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire.

This opportunity is well-suited for a results-driven advisor looking to expand beyond personal production, influence regional strategy, and help shape the next generation of wealth professionals, all while maintaining full autonomy and ownership of their practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Continue to manage and grow your personal advisory practice while assuming branch-level leadership.
  • Provide day-to-day oversight of branch operations, compliance, and performance standards.
  • Recruit, onboard, and mentor a team of advisors aligned with a high-integrity, client-focused culture.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to implement growth initiatives in your region.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between branch advisors and head office teams, ensuring operational alignment and service excellence.
  • Promote a culture of compliance, continuous improvement, and client-first thinking.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • IIROC-licensed advisor in good standing with a proven advisory track record.
  • Managing a transferable book of business in the $25M–$40M+ AUM range.
  • Entrepreneurial, strategic, and committed to high standards of service and compliance.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience (formal or informal), with a collaborative management style.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building relationships across advisor teams and organizational levels.
  • Passionate about developing talent and building long-term value in a leadership capacity.

What’s Offered

  • A flexible, independent platform with full control over your business model, branding, and client relationships.
  • Competitive compensation structure, including branch-level revenue sharing and potential equity opportunities.
  • Comprehensive infrastructure support, including compliance, technology, operations, and marketing.
  • Freedom from bureaucratic constraints common in larger institutions.
  • Strategic input and visibility into firm-wide growth and decision-making.

Why This Role?

This is a compelling opportunity for an advisor who is:

  • Ready to expand their influence beyond their own practice.
  • Interested in building and leading a high-performance branch.
  • Seeking a platform that aligns with entrepreneurial ambitions and long-term succession planning.
  • Looking for the resources and flexibility to scale with purpose and autonomy.
