Queen City Distillery LP is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for its Retail Store in Regina, SK.
The ideal candidate will assist in overseeing daily operations, driving sales, ensuring exceptional customer service, and supporting the Store Manager in all aspects of store performance. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone with retail experience, strong interpersonal skills, and a passion for creating a positive shopping environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Support the Store Manager in overall store operations, including inventory control, merchandising, and staff supervision
- Lead and motivate a team of employees to deliver exceptional customer service
- Ensure all legal and regulatory requirements related to the sale of alcohol are strictly followed
- Assist with staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations
- Manage stock levels, place orders, and oversee product receiving and displays
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues professionally and efficiently
- Open and close the store in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Monitor and ensure store cleanliness, organization, and safety
- Prepare reports and assist with administrative duties as required
- Act as the primary manager in the absence of the Store Manager
Required Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in retail management or business an asset
- 2+ years of retail experience, preferably in a liquor or convenience store setting
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of liquor products and regulations in Saskatchewan
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Proficient with point-of-sale systems and basic computer applications
- Must be of legal age to sell alcohol in Saskatchewan
- Must acquire the Serve it Right certification prior to employment
