We are WSP. The OpportunityYour Impact Starts Here – As a Project Coordinator with our Energy team in Calgary, Alberta, you will help drive complex upstream, midstream, and downstream projects forward while supporting our clients in their energy transition journey. You’ll support multidisciplinary project teams to deliver safe, sustainable, and efficient solutions across the full project lifecycle, from early planning to execution and close-out. You’ll be based in our Calgary office and collaborate closely with project managers, technical specialists, and stakeholders to keep projects on track, on budget, and aligned with WSP’s commitments to climate adaptation and mitigation, water and marine resource protection, biodiversity, and low-carbon solutions. Your Impact
- Coordinate and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets so teams have a clear roadmap and can deliver key milestones on time and within scope.
- Organize and support project meetings by preparing agendas, documenting minutes and action items, and following up to ensure commitments are completed.
- Monitor project progress, flag potential risks or issues, and keep project managers and stakeholders informed with timely, accurate status updates.
- Maintain organized project documentation – including contracts, reports, change orders, drawings, and packages – so information is current, traceable, and audit-ready.
- Prepare, format, and issue project documents (reports, drawings, deliverable packages, trackers) using WSP templates and tools to meet client and quality standards.
- Track project expenditures and support resource allocation so financials and utilization align with approved budgets and work plans.
- Facilitate communication between internal teams, external vendors, and clients to keep everyone aligned and remove bottlenecks before they impact delivery.
- Support Project Managers with day-to-day project and construction management activities, including document control, action tracking, and coordination with site teams.
- Capture accurate meeting minutes for weekly project reviews and other key project sessions, ensuring decisions and next steps are clearly documented and shared.

- You excel at organizing information, juggling competing priorities, and structuring your workload so that deadlines are met without sacrificing quality or attention to detail.
- You approach problems with a solutions mindset – anticipating issues, proposing practical options, and helping project managers keep work moving forward.
- You’re comfortable working independently as well as within cross-functional teams, and you thrive in a role where you support others’ success while owning your own deliverables.
- You’re eager to learn from more experienced staff, open to coaching and feedback, and motivated to grow your project coordination and project management capabilities.
- Certifications such as PMP or CAPM, and familiarity with Agile or other project management methodologies, are assets that will help you thrive and grow in this role.
