Wood is seeking a Commissioning Manager to join our Minerals & Metals (M&M) team at our construction project in Northern Saskatchewan. The Role The Commissioning Manager will be reporting directly to the Construction Manager and functionally to the Director, Technical & Assurance M&M West and will be responsible for leading the planning and execution of the commissioning phase of all on site facilities. This role has overall responsibility for overseeing the testing, verification and handover of complex systems to ensure they operate according to design specifications and safety standards. As a senior member of the project team, the Commissioning Manager will contribute to the project planning, scheduling, site health and safety, contractor coordination, field quality assurance, as well as logistics and for the commissioning of the site and facilities. The successful candidate will lead the Commissioning team, liaise with the construction management team, engineering team, operations and contractors in order to successfully lead this stage of the project. ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule commissioning activities
- Validate systems to ensure compliance with project requirements
- Contractor management and coordination for commissioning activities
- Field quality assurance and turnover documentation for commissioning activities
- Identify, document and resolve deficiencies identified during testing
- Liaise with construction management and the home office engineering support
- Ensure Wood contract documentation references necessary contractor requirements to support commissioning, including schedule and turnover requirements

- Minimum 20 years of related experience, with a minimum of 5 years focusing on construction
- Commissioning or operations of Mining projects
- Excellent knowledge of on-site construction management during commissioning
- Advanced knowledge of document management systems
- Proven leadership and management skills
- An entrepreneurial approach and the ability to take on challenges in a changing environment
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, communication and organizational skills
- Excellent track record in managing projects greater than 100M$
- Experience in overseas projects with different commodities (gold, iron ore, copper, nickel, potash, diamond)
- Authorization to lawfully work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood is required
