About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Data Scientist specializing in Generative AI and Machine Learning to join our AI Core group. This role offers a greenfield opportunity to influence the future of networking experiences by developing next-generation AI solutions. As a pivotal member of our team, you will lead research and development efforts to create innovative ML models and systems that power our flagship products and new offerings. You will be responsible for translating cutting-edge research into scalable, production-ready solutions, guiding the technical roadmap, and mentoring engineering teams. The ideal candidate is passionate about pushing the boundaries of AI technology, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is eager to make a global impact through innovative AI-driven network management solutions.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience researching and delivering machine learning solutions in production environments
  • Hands-on experience developing Generative AI solutions such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI Agents, and LLM fine-tuning
  • Experience with Graph Machine Learning, including Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) and Graph RAG
  • Strong understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC): design, coding, reviews, testing, deployment, and operations
  • Experience working with large-scale distributed systems on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Proven ability to solve complex, ambiguous, high-impact problems with innovative solutions

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a thought leader, shaping long-term machine learning strategy and driving innovation across products and platforms
  • Lead research and development of novel ML, Generative AI, and Graph ML techniques, translating research into scalable production systems
  • Design, experiment, validate, and deploy machine learning models, ensuring operational excellence at scale
  • Mentor and collaborate with engineers and scientists to foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning
  • Extend and optimize ML libraries, frameworks, and infrastructure to accelerate experimentation and deployment
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into existing and new products, ensuring alignment with business objectives
