Lead Marketing Communications Specialist

KGS Group is looking for a creative, driven and collaborative Lead Marketing Communications Specialist to join our marketing and communications group in our Winnipeg office.

The role

In this senior role, you will lead a wide range of internal and external marketing and communications initiatives, support strategic planning and mentor members of the marketing and communications team. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the organization to elevate our brand, strengthen employee engagement and support corporate priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of high impact marketing and communications materials such as social media and website/intranet content, blog posts, advertisements, presentations, brochures/flyers, videos and more
• Support the Director – Marketing and Communications in developing effective marketing and communications strategies and help track our success
• Manage our social media presence, website and intranet
• Develop and lead internal communication strategies to strengthen employee engagement and support a connected culture across all offices
• Lead special projects and campaigns for both internal and external audiences
• Collaborate with HR on recruitment strategies and materials, employer brand initiatives and corporate culture programs across all offices
• Champion our brand and ensure brand standards are met across the organization
• Mentor and guide marketing and communications team members

About you

• Degree or diploma in communications or marketing
• 8+ years of related experience
• Exceptional communicator with advanced writing and editing abilities
• Strong relationship building skills
• Highly organized with strong planning abilities and attention to detail
• Experience mentoring junior staff and directing external vendors
• Strong design sensibility and the ability to guide the work of graphic designers
• Collaborative team player with a can-do attitude, willing to pitch in wherever is needed
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs
