Junior Accountant

Reporting to the Controller, the Junior Accountant performs a variety of tasks in a professional and efficient manner. The position manages the daily and month end accounting functions related to inventory, capital assets, financing and other balance sheet and income statement accounts. Key Responsibilities:

• Review inventory sale transactions for accuracy
• Manage financing of all inventory and rental assets
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
• Reconcile capital assets and rental fleets
• Prepare salesman commission calculations
• Prepare journal entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts at month end
• Assist branch personnel with inquiries and requests
• Other related duties as assigned

Training, Education and Experience:

• 1-3 years of relevant work experience
• Desire to enroll in CPA Professional Education Program (PEP) is considered an asset
• Degree or diploma in Accounting or Business discipline

Compensation Package:

• Salary between $40,000 - $50,000 depending on skills and qualifications

Working Conditions: The Junior Accountant is based out of the Surrey office and works 40 hours on average per week Monday to Friday.
