  • Managing departmental operating budgets
  • Coordinating and completing financial billing and payment activities
  • Providing direct supervision for assigned personnel
  • Ensuring the efficient operation of the office
  • Preparing statistics for, and conducting audits of departmental activities
  • Performing cross-functional duties, as assigned and/or requested; perform other duties consistent with the job classification, as required.

Qualifications

  • Completion of Grade XII or recognized equivalent required.
  • Completion of a recognized medical or business post secondary office administration diploma program, or recognized equivalent required.
  • Five (5) years related office administration support experience required.
  • Previous on-the-job computer/word-processing, database and spreadsheet software experience required.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience in a Microsoft Office environment preferred.
  • Experience working in a health care environment an asset.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills required.
  • Very good verbal and written communications skills required.
  • Ability to produce high quality work in accordance with Hospital standards required.
  • Strong knowledge of Pharmacy Department practices, procedures and standards required.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure required.
  • Ability to use good judgment in assessing difficult situations required.
  • Ability to effectively handle confidential matters and materials required.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology an asset.
