Job Description The Project Manager serves as the central point of contact for all contributors and oversees every stage of large-scale or innovative projects. They help guide resources within cross-functional projects to achieve objectives within defined time and budget constraints. They analyze the project’s feasibility and relevance, define action plans and milestones, coordinate project teams, identify issues, propose solutions, and implement them. They act as a specialist and provide leadership to decision-making bodies and project teams. The nature of the work requires extensive and in-depth knowledge of strategic, transformational, and organizationally complex project management. The main and usual duties of this position are:

  • Exercise influential leadership to ensure the success of assigned projects;
  • Meet with clients, gather, analyze, and understand their needs, and ensure their understanding and involvement in upcoming initiatives;
  • Develop and implement a detailed project plan (human resources, budget, and timeline) to deliver all project deliverables through completion;
  • Determine required team resources with various managers (availability, skills) and ensure knowledge transfer;
  • Coordinate internal and external personnel involved in project execution;
  • Continuously monitor project progress to ensure adherence to the plan using appropriate systems and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs);
  • Implement and manage necessary changes to achieve project results on time and within budget;
  • Analyze project risks and propose solutions to encountered problems;
  • Prepare regular reports for the team and management and conduct proactive follow-ups;
  • Manage communications with management, the team, stakeholders, and suppliers;
  • Define and support project governance, ensuring that team members have clearly defined roles, responsibilities, and interfaces, and are accountable for their assigned tasks;
  • Collaborate with the change management lead to align change management actions with project deliverables and timelines;
  • Create and archive all project documentation;
  • Complete project closure activities;
  • Ensure and/or define improvements to the quality of systems and processes by implementing best practices and/or appropriate techniques;
  • Define and apply best methods and practices and participate in their development and implementation;
  • Contribute to the establishment of suitable methodologies to ensure effective project management while respecting constraints such as quality, budget, and deadlines;
  • Create a work environment that promotes skill development, teamwork, creativity, and recognition of team achievements.

QualificationsEducation:

  • PMP certification, MBA, or Master’s degree in Project Management is an asset.

Relevant Experience:

  • Over 10 years of relevant experience in managing major projects;
  • Experience leading large-scale transformational projects with significant change management components.

Skills:

  • In-depth and practical knowledge of project management and risk management;
  • Strong leadership skills;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Strong organizational, planning, and rigor skills;
  • Ability to speak effectively in public;
  • Excellent client relationship management;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Strong analytical mindset;
  • Proficiency in problem-solving;
  • Creativity and innovation;
  • Persuasive abilities;
  • Ability to collaborate, advise, and motivate others.

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of the video game industry is an asset;
  • Knowledge of SCRUM / AGILE methodologies is an asset;
  • Knowledge of Games as a Service (GaaS) is an asset;
  • Knowledge of Software as a Service (SaaS) is an asset.
