TEEMA is partnering with a successful and rapidly growing digital-media, technology, and e-commerce organization to find an exceptional Manager, Talent & Culture.
This is an opportunity to join a creative, entrepreneurial, and fast-moving business with a well-established brand and a team of over 100 employees. The Manager, Talent & Culture will lead the day-to-day HR function and help create a workplace that is clear, consistent, respectful, and high-performing.
What you’ll do
- Lead day-to-day HR operations across the organization.
- Partner closely with the COO and leadership team on people strategy, employee relations, and organizational priorities.
- Coach managers through performance concerns, difficult conversations, conflict resolution, investigations, and employee development.
- Lead complex and high-risk employee-relations matters with sound judgment, empathy, professionalism, and discretion.
- Manage and develop one Talent & Culture team member.
- Improve HR processes, policies, systems, and workflows to create greater clarity, accountability, and efficiency.
- Partner with hiring managers to support structured, thoughtful, and efficient recruitment.
- Oversee HR records, compliance, onboarding, and collaboration with Payroll and Finance.
- Support key people initiatives, including HRIS implementation, compensation reviews, benefits administration, and culture initiatives.
What we’re looking for
- 7–10+ years of progressive HR generalist experience.
- 2+ years of people-leadership experience.
- Strong employee-relations and performance-management experience.
- Solid knowledge of BC Employment Standards and HR best practices.
- Experience coaching managers and navigating sensitive workplace situations.
- Experience improving HR operations, processes, systems, or policies.
- Strong recruiting and hiring experience.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and make sound decisions in a fast-moving environment.
- HRIS implementation, compensation, benefits, and payroll exposure are assets.
- CPHR designation is an asset.
