Our client is a renowned private school for children aged one to five. As the only Early Childhood Education franchise in Canada serving this age group, our client supports franchise partners in delivering premium educational experiences in nurturing environments.
Role Overview
As the Content Lead, you will play a key role in shaping and elevating our client’s brand voice across all platforms. Reporting directly to the Marketing Director, this role is responsible for creating compelling, high‑quality content that reinforces our client’s position as the gold standard in early childhood education and franchise innovation.
You will work closely with the Senior Graphic Designer and the Paid Media & SEO Specialist, as well as cross‑functional teams, to develop integrated content that supports brand building, internal communication, performance marketing, and engagement across digital channels. This role includes ownership of our client’s content planning and calendar, ensuring consistent, strategic, and timely content delivery across all platforms.
Key ResponsibilitiesContent Creation & Storytelling
- Develop high‑quality written content, including website copy, blog posts, social media captions, video scripts, email marketing copy, and written assets for our client’s podcast and educational materials.
- Write conversion‑focused copy for paid advertising campaigns across platforms such as Google, Facebook, and other digital channels.
- Craft storytelling‑driven content that communicates our client’s educational philosophy and premium brand positioning.
- Ensure all content reflects our client’s brand voice, tone, and messaging standards.
Content Strategy & Planning
- Own and manage our client’s content calendar, ensuring alignment with marketing priorities, campaigns, and seasonal initiatives.
- Own and manage podcast content as part of the broader content calendar, including episode planning, scheduling, and thematic alignment with marketing initiatives.
- Plan, coordinate, and prioritize content across brand, performance, and franchise initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure content is delivered on time and supports broader marketing objectives.
Education‑Focused Content Development
- Translate complex educational and developmental concepts into clear, engaging, and accessible language for parents and franchise partners.
- Develop educational and thought‑leadership content that positions our client as a trusted authority in early childhood education.
Brand Messaging, Campaigns & PR
- Support consistent brand messaging across all channels, reinforcing our client’s premium positioning.
- Contribute to multi‑channel content campaigns designed to drive awareness, engagement, and trust.
- Assist with PR and thought‑leadership materials, including press releases and feature articles.
Performance, SEO & Optimization
- Apply SEO best practices across all written content in collaboration with the Paid Media & SEO Specialist.
- Monitor content performance and use insights to optimize messaging, formats, and topics.
- Support testing and iteration of copy for email and paid media to improve engagement and conversion.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the Senior Graphic Designer to align copy and visuals across all content and campaigns.
- Collaborate with the Paid Media & SEO Specialist to develop performance‑driven copy optimized for testing, targeting, and conversion.
- Partner with cross‑functional teams to ensure content supports marketing, franchise development, and operational goals.
Qualifications
- 4–7+ years of professional experience in content writing, brand, or marketing communications.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a strong portfolio of published work.
- Experience creating content for digital platforms, including websites, blogs, social media, and campaigns.
- Strong understanding of brand voice, messaging frameworks, and premium brand positioning.
- Working knowledge of SEO best practices and content optimization.
- Ability to translate complex topics into engaging, audience‑friendly content.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with experience working cross‑functionally.
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines.
Work Arrangement & Compensation
- Job Type: Full‑time, Permanent
- Work Model: Hybrid
- Location: Vancouver, BC (Lower Mainland)
- Salary: $70,000 – $75,000 CAD per year
