Responsibilities

• Prepares Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) mapping drawings using MicroStation and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Generate civil/structural engineering and detail drawings from sketches
• Ensures all drafting is of the highest quality and organized in conformity with company design standards.
• Ensures all drawings are prepared accurately, neatly, and efficiently.
• Maintains uniform and consistent line weights, styles, and lettering across all drawings.
• Demonstrates the ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
• Communicates any drafting issues or challenges promptly to the Project Manager.
• May assist in the collection of data and/or field verification of project documents.
• Assists in the preparation of utility records research as required.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by Project Manager.

Requirements

• College Diploma in Civil Engineering preferred plus one to three years applicable experience
• Proficiency in CAD software (such as AutoCAD and MicroStation) and Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Proficiency in French preferred but not required
• Experience working in the utilities industry preferred
• Experience in processing survey data preferred
• Experience working in the utilities industry preferred
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Solid time management and follow‐through skills, with the ability to simultaneously work on and manage multiple tasks and projects with tight deadlines
• Positive, flexible team‐oriented approach, with the willingness and desire to work as part of a team
• Self‐motivated, strong initiative; effective oral and written skills
• Detail oriented, resourceful

Pay: $23.00-$30.00 per hour
