Location: Regina, Saskatchewan (Onsite – Full Time)
Contract Duration: August 24, 2026 to August 24, 2028
Extension: Possible 1-year extension
Pay Rate: $80.00 – $100.00/hour
Stafingo is hiring Intermediate - Senior IT Security Analyst(s) for a public sector client to support enterprise cybersecurity operations, incident response, network security monitoring, and security governance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage security incident and service request queues using ServiceNow.
- Monitor, analyze, and investigate security events across firewalls, IDS/IPS, web proxies, VPNs, and other network security technologies.
- Perform network traffic analysis to identify indicators of compromise, unauthorized access attempts, suspicious communications, and potential data exfiltration.
- Support the implementation and administration of network security controls, including segmentation, NAC, VPNs, and secure remote access solutions.
- Review firewall rules, ACLs, and network security configurations to ensure compliance with security standards and least-privilege principles.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, and architecture teams to assess and remediate security risks and vulnerabilities.
- Participate in incident response activities, including packet capture analysis, threat containment, and root cause analysis.
- Create and maintain operational security reports and documentation, including incident reports and risk management artifacts.
- Support phishing simulation exercises, user response tracking, and security awareness initiatives.
- Respond to and resolve Privileged Access Management (PAM) related activities and service requests within defined SLAs.
- Provide timely communication and coordination with stakeholders during security incidents and operational activities.
Required Skills & Experience
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow, security incident management, and operational security processes.
- Strong understanding of network security concepts, firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, NAC, and secure remote access.
- Experience with security monitoring, traffic analysis, and incident investigation.
- Knowledge of vulnerability management, access control, and security configuration reviews.
- Familiarity with PAM solutions and enterprise security operations.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a large enterprise or public sector environment.
- Industry certifications such as Security+, CEH, CISSP, GIAC, or equivalent are considered an asset.
