Job DescriptionOverview of the Position:
The Brand, Content & Marketing team is the voice and soul of the company. We shape our global identity and craft the compelling narratives that magnetize customers. We fuse strategic brand leadership, creative direction, and precision marketing to build deep awareness, ignite loyalty, and power explosive growth across every channel.
As our Public Relations Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping and scaling the global brand narrative. Reporting to the Senior Director, Communications & Content Strategy, you will lead the development and execution of high-impact PR and brand storytelling initiatives that build awareness, strengthen brand equity, and foster meaningful cultural relevance. You will amplify the SSENSE point of view across earned media, events, and cultural moments, ensuring the brand remains influential at the forefront of fashion, culture, and technology.
What You Will Do:

Lead the strategy and execution of brand communications and PR programs across North America and key international markets (Canada, U.S., and Europe).

Build, manage, and deepen relationships with top-tier journalists, editors, and tastemakers across fashion, lifestyle, beauty, culture, business, technology, and trade media.

Manage and mentor the Communications Specialist, including setting objectives, evaluating performance, and providing ongoing support.

Work closely with the marketing, creative, social media, and editorial teams to develop integrated storytelling opportunities and a consistent communication calendar.

Manage the annual PR budget, tracking spend and ensuring programs are delivered on time and within budget.

Plan, execute and oversee product launches, press moments, and community-driven events, including guest list strategy, logistics, on-site management, and post-event reporting.

Develop, write, and distribute press materials including press releases, media alerts, pitches, lookbooks, fact sheets, executive bios, and media kits.
QualificationsRequirements:
-
A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in brand communications or public relations, with a strong track record of securing earned media across global markets.

A minimum of 2 years of previous leadership experience managing direct reports, including coaching, mentoring, and supporting professional growth and development.

Deep understanding of the global media landscape, with established relationships across print, digital, and emerging platforms.

Prior experience in fashion, luxury, e-commerce, or culture-driven brands is strongly preferred; exposure to multi-brand retail or technology is a plus.

Exceptional communication (verbal & written) skills to develop and deliver influential, multi-mode communications that can represent the company externally on major issues.
