Reporting to the Vice-President, Platform & Engineering and collaborating rigorously with our product development teams, you will be responsible for the software architecture of many of our solutions. As an architect, your success will be defined by how well your development teams deliver value without compromising the quality and integrity of the system. Here's what your day-to-day will look like in this role.
- Contribute to preliminary and opportunity analysis.
- Support analysts in the development of non-functional requirements.
- Ensure the consistency of the application architecture with the realities and requirements of our business domain.
- Define and document, in collaboration with the teams, the technological architecture of applications.
- Advise, guide and support the development teams in matters of software architecture.
- Act as a mentor and ensure knowledge transfer.
- Participate in the analysis and development of applications if needed.
- Investigate certain critical and complex problems with various technical teams.
- Participate in the evolution and development of Sherweb's software infrastructure.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the department and ensure technological watch.
- Foster innovation within the team and participate in the identification and adoption of new technologies.
- Develop prototypes to de-risk certain functionalities or technologies.
Here's what you need to have and master to get the job.
- University degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience as a programmer-analyst and/or architect.
- Experience in developing Web applications and distributed applications in Cloud mode.
- Knowledge of .NET technologies.
- Very good knowledge of object-oriented programming and DDD (an asset).
- Good team spirit and availability to answer questions from colleagues.
- Rigor and concern for quality
- Functional bilingualism (English / French).
