Our client is looking for a detail-oriented junior professional to join their contracts team. Someone eager to learn the business from the ground up and grow into a trusted contributor over time.
This is a developmental role with real substance. You'll support the full lifecycle of contracts & transactions. From document prep and tracking to closing coordination and records management, working closely with investment, account management and finance teams. This role is primarily remote in Ottawa, Ontario, with some in-person collaboration from time to time.What You'll Do
- Prepare standard transaction documents using approved templates, under supervision
- Assist with first-pass reviews of documents received from external parties and flag issues
- Manage version control and ensure documents follow internal standards
- Assemble signature and closing packages
- Maintain trackers for active transactions (key dates, outstanding items)
- Monitor deadlines and prompt team members on upcoming milestones
- Support follow-ups with internal and external parties
- Prepare document summaries and route documents for signature via DocuSign
- File executed and draft documents in SharePoint per internal standards
- Retrieve documents and transaction history to support reporting and audits
- Assist with maintaining organized, complete transaction folders
What We're Looking For
- Diploma or degree in business, law, paralegal studies, real estate, or a related field
- 2–3 years in an administrative, legal, or transactions support role
- Exposure to contracts or document management is an asset
- High proficiency in Microsoft Word, including document formatting and styles
- Comfortable with Outlook and basic Excel; SharePoint, Salesforce, or DocuSign experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Highly organized, able to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines
- Clear written communication and good professional judgment
- Eager to learn, ask questions, and take direction well
