At Rubicon Organics, our vision is to be the most trusted house of premium cannabis brands – creating elevated experiences for people everywhere. Our mission is to build brands people believe in by delivering elevated experiences in all we do. Through uncompromising quality, purposeful innovation, and trusted partnerships, we create products and relationships that enrich lives and help shape the future of cannabis. We are looking for a highly motivated Financial Analyst to join our Finance team and support our Sales & Marketing organization. This role will focus on building reporting, analysis, and tools to drive commercial performance and strategic decision-making. Strong technical skills, especially in Power Query and Excel modeling, are essential for success in this position. Key Responsibilities:

  • Play a key role in preparation and delivery of commercial forecasts and budgets, including annual planning, biannual reforecasts, and monthly estimates
  • Own and continuously enhance various FP&A models and templates using Power Query, Power Pivot, and Power BI to deliver timely and actionable insights
  • Support monthly financial close activities by reviewing actuals with business stakeholders and performing Actual vs Budget vs Prior Year analysis, ensuring transactional data is complete and accurate
  • Partner with Sales & Marketing teams to discuss pricing decisions and product mix impacts, providing recommendations to optimize profitability
  • Lead accrual analysis and align financial assumptions with accounting and commercial teams to ensure accuracy of reported results
  • Design, automate, and maintain product pricing, sales and GM dashboards
  • Drive process automation in data collection and transformation, ensuring data integrity and consistency across financial models and systems
  • Conduct and lead ad hoc financial analyses to support strategic initiatives, including new product launches, customer profitability, and scenario planning

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or a related field (CPA or MBA strongly preferred)
  • 3–5 years of FP&A, commercial finance, or related analytical experience (experience in CPG, cannabis, or other fast-paced consumer industries an asset)
  • Advanced Excel and Power Query expertise; strong working knowledge of Power Pivot and Power BI for reporting and visualization
  • Demonstrated ability to own forecasting, modeling, and reporting processes end-to-end
  • Strong business partnering skills with the ability to influence and challenge cross-functional stakeholders
  • Proven track record of process improvement, automation, and system optimization (D365 experience a strong asset)
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders
  • Comfortable working in a high-growth, fast-paced environment with competing priorities
  • Professional Capabilities:
  • Proactive problem solver with sound judgment and strategic mindset
  • Detail-oriented while maintaining a big-picture view
  • The ability to establish working relationships between yourself and other business partners
  • Strives to constantly improve processes and outcomes
  • Continuous learner with drive to take on new challenges and expand expertise
  • The successful candidate will be expected to receive a background check before beginning employment. This candidate reports to the commercial FP&A manager and will be based in downtown Vancouver, BC.

Why Rubicon?

  • Join a publicly listed, mission-led company focused on sustainability and product excellence.
  • Work in a collaborative environment with smart people who value initiative.
  • Competitive salary of $70-90K, bonus potential 10%.
  • Flexibility through a hybrid schedule 3 days in the office.
  • Dog-friendly office because great teams include four-legged coworkers too!
  • Medical and dental benefits coverage after 3 months.
