  • Prepare finalized estimate and proposal documents for submission.
  • Organize and document estimate files, assumptions and supporting information to ensure a smooth transition to the project execution team.
  • Participate in subcontractor and supplier selection reviews with the Divisional Managers and Project Management teams prior to issuing purchase orders or subcontracts.
  • Maintain and develop historical cost data unit rate databases for future estimating efforts.
  • Provide limited support to project teams with planning, scheduling, reporting or monitoring activities when required during peak periods.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management or related discipline or equivalent industry experience.
  • P. Eng, Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) or equivalent professional designation is an asset.

Experience

  • Strong proficiency in estimating software preferably ProEst and BlueBeam.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and familiarity with Primavera P6 is an asset.
  • Solid understanding of construction methods, productivity rates and cost drivers in industrial environments.
  • Possess a valid Class 5 Driver's License - preference will be given to candidates with a clean driving record (driving abstract required)
