HR GeneralistJob Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will drive key HR initiatives, support onboarding initiatives, and ensure compliance with employment laws. Your proactive approach will help shape a positive organizational culture and streamline HR processes across the company. Key Responsibilities
- Design, coordinate, and lead comprehensive onboarding programs that effectively integrate new employees into the company culture and operations
- Facilitate new hire orientation sessions and ensure all onboarding documentation is complete and compliant
- Serve as the primary point of contact for new employees during the onboarding process, addressing questions and providing support
- Collaborate with hiring managers and department leaders to tailor onboarding experiences to rolespecific needs
- Manage day-to-day HR functions including benefits administration, employee record maintenance, and HR policy implementation
- Assist with recruitment activities such as job postings, screening, and interview coordination
- Support employee relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and promoting a positive workplace environment
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate HR metrics and prepare reports related to onboarding, turnover, and other key indicators
- Continuously improve HR processes and onboarding programs based on employee feedback and best practices
Key Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar HR role, with demonstrated experience in employee onboarding
- Strong knowledge of Canadian and US HR practices, employment laws, and compliance requirements preferred
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience in traffic control, construction, or related industries is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
