On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Business Analyst, Regulatory Business Initiatives for a 5-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 3-4 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.
Business Analyst, Regulatory Business Initiatives - Job Description:
The successful candidate will support the portfolio of regulatory and business initiatives, contributing to one or two assigned projects at a time. The role involves leading and overseeing initiatives to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and enterprise standards.
Business Analyst, Regulatory Business Initiatives - Responsibilities:
• Provide oversight for small to medium-sized bank projects or workstreams.
• Lead smaller initiatives from initiation through delivery or provide senior-level business analysis for complex programs.
• Manage risks and issues proactively, support project managers, and coordinate across multiple delivery teams and stakeholders.
• Independently oversee project governance and deliver regular status updates to senior leadership.
• Develop business cases to secure funding for upcoming initiatives.
• Champion a customer-focused culture to strengthen client relationships and leverage the Bank’s capabilities and expertise.
• Ensure operational excellence by adhering to business controls and compliance requirements.
• Support a high-performance culture through coaching, communication, and talent development.
• Represent the team at trade association meetings and peer-bank forums on regulatory topics.
Business Analyst, Regulatory Business Initiatives - Mandatory Skills:
• 8+ years relevant working experience in banking and capital markets
• 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst
• Project/workstream management experience
• MS Suite tools experience: Excel (intermediate), PowerPoint (advanced)
Business Analyst, Regulatory Business Initiatives – Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Client onboarding process experience
• Experience working with and understanding client data
• Salesforce experience
Business Analyst, Regulatory Business Initiatives – Assignment Length:
This is a 5-month contract with the possibility of extension and conversion to full-time employment.
