This is a permanent full-time position that will commence August 26, 2026. Role Overview The psychosocial and emotional health of our students is a key element of academic success. This role supports students with addictions and mental health challenges, particularly those unable to access community intervention services. In this role, the Pathways to Wellness Partner (PTWP) will provide short-term addictions counseling, assessments, and referrals to community-based support. The PTWP will also coordinate available external addiction services, therapy services through outside agencies, and develop resources for students. What You Will Do

• Provide strengths-based, short-term addictions counseling and assessments to help students set and achieve goals, enhance resiliency, and navigate challenges related to substance use.
• Develop and implement safety planning strategies to promote harm reduction, fostering safe and supportive environments for students. Proactively conduct risk assessments of student safety, emotional, and behavioral needs.
• Conduct culturally sensitive, trauma-informed assessments that highlight individual strengths, challenges, and progress over time, using tools such as the Prairie Valley School Division Roadmap to Mental Health and Addictions Services.
• Communicate effectively with students and families to connect them with community service providers to strengthen networks of supports for students.
• Coordinate referrals to community-based support and coordinate external addiction services and therapy services through outside agencies.
• Work collaboratively with students, educators, families, and external partners to create a holistic, wraparound support system that prioritizes student success and wellness.
• Offer professional consultation and training for school staff to enhance their capacity to support students with substance use challenges.
• Develop, adapt, and share culturally relevant and accessible resources to support students' mental health and well-being.
• Maintain up-to-date assessments and intervention records.
• Perform any other duties as may be required or assigned by the Student Services Coordinator or designate.

What Will Make You Successful

• As a Psychologist:

• Master's Degree in Psychology or Educational Psychology.
• Registered and in good standing with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists.
• Certified in school psychology competencies from the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists.

• As a Social Worker:

• Master's Degree in Social Work.
• Certified in mental health and addictions counseling.
• Registered and in good standing with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers.
• Experience working in the education sector is an asset.
• Background in addictions and counseling within an educational setting is preferred.

• Knowledge of assessment, intervention, and consultation methods related to childhood and adolescent mental health issues, addictions, and learning disorders.
• Superior case management tracking, documentation, writing, and reporting skills.
• Knowledge of and adherence to professional standards and ethics of the relevant professional regulatory bodies in Saskatchewan.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with students, families, teachers, and community providers.
• Ability to manage confidential material and maintain staff and student privacy.
