Job Skills / Requirements **Healthcare Security Guard – Diamond Valley (Oilfields General Hospital)** Are you looking for a rewarding career in the security industry, where you can apply your communication and de-escalation skills to help others? If so, Paladin Security's Healthcare Division may be the right fit for you! We are currently hiring Security Professionals to work full-time at **Oilfields General Hospital in Diamond Valley, just outside Calgary**. This position follows a **4 on, 4 off rotation** , working **nights only (1900–0700)**. Candidates must hold a valid **Alberta Security License** and have **reliable transportation** to travel to and from the site. **Starting wage: $21.93/hour** **Position start date: September 2, 2025** Healthcare Security can be a physically and emotionally demanding job. Security Professionals are responsible for providing support, empathy, customer service, and public safety to healthcare staff, visitors, clients, and patients. The dynamic hospital environment can be both enjoyable and challenging, with situations that require patience, professionalism, and quick thinking. Paladin's industry-leading Healthcare managers provide 24-hour support for our employees, emphasizing proactive risk management and real-time incident response guidance. **A day in the life of a Healthcare Security Guard:** While your duties will vary based on the site's needs, you can expect to:
- Provide access control in/out of the hospital, as well as within restricted areas.
- Monitor and respond to incidents on the property, including through camera systems.
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility, watching for security risks such as unlocked doors, blocked entrances/exits, mechanical issues, hazardous materials, and safety hazards.
- Respond to alarms and emergency calls for assistance.
- Investigate and report irregularities or security incidents.
- Monitor patient safety, document incidents, and support healthcare staff as required.
