Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented CADDraftsperson / 3D Rendering Specialist to join our creative and technical team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for translating design concepts into precise technical drawings and 3D visualizations that guide our production crews and wow our clients. You’ll collaborate closely with designers, project managers, and tech leads to develop rigging plots, lighting layouts, and venue renderings. You will also be helping put together quotes for clients using our ERP program FLEX.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings, lighting plots, and stage layouts for event and production designs
- Create photorealistic 3D renderings for client presentations and internal design reviews
- Work from design briefs, technical specs, and venue documentation to produce accurate drawings
- Maintain and update 3D CAD program or AutoCAD files as designs evolve
- Collaborate with project managers and production teams to ensure designs are practical and executable
- Stay current with event production technology and drafting/rendering software
- Assist in the creation of technical documentation, rigging plots, and system schematics
Qualifications:
- Software: Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, WYSIWYG, AutoCAD, Vector works
- Experience with 3D rendering software (e.g., Cinema 4D, Lumion, Unreal Engine, etc.)
- Strong understanding of production lighting, rigging, and stage design
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and site plans
- Excellent attention to detail and spatial accuracy
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, creative environment
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Experience working in the live events, touring, or entertainment industry
- Background in theatrical design, live production, or technical theatre
- Knowledge of rigging safety and structural limitations
- Portfolio of previous event designs or renderings
