We’re Hiring: Senior Consultant (NRC)
NATTIQ Inc., Canada’s largest Indigenous-owned office relocation and management consulting company, is growing — and we’re looking for a senior consultant to join our dynamic team in Ottawa.
About the Role:
As a senior consultant with NATTIQ, you’ll work directly with various Government of Canada stakeholders on facilities fit-up projects. You’ll take on a hand-on approach, working closely with project teams, contractors, architects, engineers and IT facilities specialists to overcome challenges and achieve outstanding results. A major focus of the role will be on validating building related diagrams / plans / designs and developing a list of IT and telecom requirements and the various components required in a building fit-up :
· IT / telecom components
· Security and network components
· HVAC and power requirements
· Other infrastructure components
· Cost and specifications
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, faculties planners, IT and clients to assess the IT needs associated with the facility fit up , determine gaps (i.e. what may be missing)
- Review and manage project documentation, including contract schedules and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Visit project sites (mostly in the NCR – but may require 1-2 days for trips to sites outside NCR), to ensure smooth progress, compliance and alignment with plans
- Coordinate meetings with stakeholders to address issues and track progress
- Implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential challenges and ensure project success
- Prepare and deliver detailed project reports and updates to senior management and clients
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience managing construction / facilities related projects that included IT fit-ups
- In depth knowledge of construction principles, building codes and industry standards including security standards
- Ability to read a building / electrical / mechanical / telecom diagrams and construction plans and validate / identify the missing components based on a requirements list
- Ability to develop specifications and costing for IT / telecom equipment using GoC resources
- Ability to validate work completed as per standards (building, IT/Telecom, security)
- Ability to perform a range of tasks (sometimes simultaneously) with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience building statement of requirements is an asset
- Experience in workplace rationalization is an asset
- Experience working in Public sector (DND, PSPC, SSC) in Infrastructure/Comms technology environments is an asset
- Government of Canada security clearance ( Secret)
