Overview of the role:
We are seeking a Hardware Engineer who will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and optimizing embedded hardware systems that power our advanced industrial IoT sensors and edge devices. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including firmware, data science, and product development to bring innovative industrial solutions to life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop PCBs for low-power IoT sensor systems.
- Create schematics and PCBs layouts using tools like Altium Designer.
- Select appropriate components and validate performance through simulation and prototyping.
- Oversee PCB manufacturing, board bring-up, hardware validation, and debugging using lab tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, etc.).
- Collaborate with firmware and data teams to ensure seamless hardware-software integration.
- Drive DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and support contract manufacturers in PCB assembly and testing.
- Participate in product reliability testing (thermal, vibration, environmental).
- Maintain comprehensive design documentation, test reports, and BOMs.
- Demonstrate a willingness to challenge the status quo and explore new technologies.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in embedded systems hardware design.
- Hands-on experience with circuit simulation, PCB design, and embedded prototyping.
- Experience with signal integrity for high-speed digital, RF and analog signal routing.
- Experience designing high density and multi-layer PCBs, including 8-layer or higher stack-ups.
- Strong understanding of communication protocols (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, LoRa, Cellular, etc.).
- Familiarity with power management, signal conditioning, and sensor integration.
- Experience working with hazardous environmental and EMC compliance standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Nice to Have:
- Experience with edge AI/ML hardware integration.
- Exposure to wireless certification processes (FCC, CE, etc.).
- Knowledge of predictive maintenance or industrial automation systems.
