Project Management Specialist (32548)

Our Finance institution client is looking for an experienced Project Management Specialist for a long term HYBRID contract in Ottawa. This is a high-visibility role supporting enterprise initiatives through the full project lifecycle, from planning to post-deployment transition. This contract requires a Goverment of Canada Secuirty clearance - at the reliability level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of strategic IT projects using Agile or hybrid methodologies
• Oversee solution selection, configuration, implementation, and transition to operations
• Manage project plans, risks, issues, interdependencies, and stakeholder communications
• Track and report on project metrics, timelines, and deliverables using tools like JIRA/Confluence
• Coordinate with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and resource managers to ensure alignment
• Support development of supporting documentation, workshop materials, and executive briefings
• Organize and manage project documentation and change tracking

Required Qualifications:

• University degree or diploma in IT, Business, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years’ technical experience in IT (software development, infrastructure, or database)
• At least 5 years of project management experience on medium-to-large projects
• 5+ years experience using Agile or hybrid (Agile/Waterfall) delivery methods
• Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives and communicate across organizational levels
• Excellent collaboration, organization, and communication skills

Additional Assets:

• PMI-PBA, PMP, or Scrum Master certification
• Experience supporting IT teams in fast-paced, parallel initiative environment
