Senior Financial Analyst – Wealth Management – Toronto, ONCompany Overview:
A leading investment management firm with over $6B in assets under management is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst, M&A Integration to join its high-performing Finance & Accounting team. Renowned for delivering tailored wealth management and investment strategies to high-net-worth individuals and families, this firm continues to grow rapidly.
This Senior Financial Analyst will partner closely with the VP Finance and take a lead role in driving the firm’s dynamic M&A integration initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated finance professional to make a direct impact in a fast-evolving, growth-oriented environment.
Core Responsibilities:1. Due Diligence During M&A
- Conduct financial due diligence on potential acquisition targets, including:
- Reviewing financial statements, working capital, debt, revenue trends, key financial KPIs, processes, systems, and governance.
- Identify and provide input on risks, integration challenges, and accounting issues during due diligence.
2. Post-Acquisition Integration
- Collaborate with target entity accounting teams and external advisors to finalize the opening balance sheet.
- Allocate the purchase price to identifiable net assets (Purchase Price Allocation).
- Monitor and track performance metrics related to earn-out provisions and advise management on progress.
- Support onboarding of new legal entities and integration of accounting processes, policies, and systems with head office
3. Legal Entity Accounting (Post-Acquisition)
- Manage full-cycle accounting for each legal entity:
- Month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and intercompany transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under IFRS/GAAP.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of trial balances and compliance with internal controls.
- Oversee statutory filings and coordinate with external auditors as required.
Qualifications:
- CPA designation or working toward one (strong asset)
- Strong experience in investment management or financial services
- 5+ years of progressive accounting or financial reporting experience
- Solid knowledge of IFRS and full-cycle accounting
- Audit or M&A integration experience considered an asset
